New Note Field

This is a quick note to let you know that I added a new note field to the posting form. I want Typeblogger to be minimal, but I personally think this field will be useful. You may use it for any reason that you'd like. I am going to use it mostly to track meditation sessions. For example, if I'm posting something new here and I happened to meditate that day, I can use the note field to mention that. This way, even if I am blogging about something totally unrelated to meditation, I still have a spot to log this activity for the day. The note shows up to the right of your post where your mood is. Or, at the bottom of the page on mobile. Both the mood and new note fields are optional to

2019’s new fad diet

With 2019 just a day or so away, I have been researching various #diets. Cliché? Yes. But, I’m very glad that I took the time to do the research because I’ve found the ultimate diet. The thing is, it hasn’t quite caught on yet. But, I’m betting it will be the new fad diet in 2019. The diet I’m talking about doesn’t have a name yet. It needs one. I mean, the latest fad diet is called keto. It sounds so... neat-o. Maybe by the end of this article I will think of a name. Let’s get on with how the diet works. First, there’s food. Like any diet, you can only eat certain foods, and so many times a day. What you do is, when you are cooking or grocery shopping you ask yourself, “Is this good

No motivation

Currently, I have zero motivation. I’m depressed. I’m burned out. This year I worked really hard at my “real” day job, only for things to fall apart at the end of the year. Then, in my spare time I worked countless hours getting,, and up and running. In hindsight, I shouldn’t have created three sites. But, I also don’t want to retire any of them just yet. We also went from a 1 child, to a 2 child household this year. It’s near impossible to keep the house clean. Right now I’m hoping my toddler will nap so that I can nap. I need to start meditating again. For awhile there I was meditating a lot. But, this year sometime I stopped.

I’d like to be under a tree

If I could, I’d love to sit under a tree all day and meditate.

There is life after Facebook

Facebook has been able to embed itself into billions of lives over the years. Since we are on our mobile devices so much these days, it is truly a part of us. Which is scary. Lately, there have been more and more revelations about how Facebook shares user data. I won’t even get into the fact that Facebook was rampant with propaganda and fake news during the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. I’ll just focus on the more current events. The fact that Facebook has shared a lot of user data with major corporations. One reason is because Facebook needs to make money. Another reason is those corporations need to make money and Facebook is a gold mine for advertisers. Maybe you knew this and are

Dear Internet, Hello. This is the very first blog entry at #typeblogger. My name is Billy and I am starting #typeblogger because online communities have gotten too complex and they share your data with third parties, and are filled with many things that you do not need. Especially if you just want to blog. This community is a free #blogging platform which is text-only. As you can see here, I have typed text into a form, published that text, and now you are reading that text. No videos, no audio, and no images. I love all of those things, but I want a place without them as well. You may post publicly, like this post is. Or, you may post to friends only, or keep a private journal. It
